Hi there,
I’m Andrea!

Nearly thirty years ago, before I was a midwife, I was a soon to be parent navigating the challenging journey of pregnancy and birth. Back then, I struggled with limited and conflicting information, questionable evidence that masqueraded as fact and there were no Hypnobirthing classes. This ignited my passion to research pregnancy and birth and learn various mind-body techniques and complementary therapies to keep me calm and confident during pregnancy, birth and parenthood—which they did! Inspired by my experiences and the positive births of both my babies, I went on to study midwifery so I could offer families the personalised, evidence-based information and support I once craved.

Supporting families since 2009

From hospital to home, I've had the privilege of guiding countless families through the transformative journey of pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

My clinical expertise spans antenatal care, labour and birth care, postpartum and newborn care, infant feeding and more. By integrating complementary therapies with scientific evidence, I offer a truly holistic approach that supports parents in making informed choices. I also had the honour of leading a midwife-led birth unit, where I once gave birth myself, and continue to be dedicated to helping parents explore their rights, options, and choices throughout their parenthood journeys.

As a University Midwifery Lecturer, I had the privilege to share my knowledge and passion with the next generation of midwives. My philosophy is simple: With the right support and information, birth doesn't have to be scary—it can be a positive, transformative experience – it’s far too precious to leave to chance!
